So we are on r way to Scotland! The tour started with our usual excitement..... We all arrived at the station nice and early to relax with a coffee and stock up on supplies ready for our long journey. All going well so far.... We had all our music, stands and concert clothes.... Then as we doled out the tickets for the outward train journey we realised we had misplaced two of the tickets..... 🙀
As Anna and Ashley ran to the ticket office to trying rectify e situation, they were told we would have to buy two new tickets... Which were going to be very expensive.....! At the very last moment (only 6mintues before the train was due to depart) we found the misplaced tickets down the side of Anna's iPad........!
We are no strangers to dramatic situations when we are touring... On occasion we have had to find an emergency dentist and one trip even included an emergency hospital stay(resulting in missing a return flight home and being left alone in Luxemburg...) so this start to the trip was no more than we have dealt with before.... 😊
So our journey up we managed to devour 2very full carrier bags of snacks, countless coffees and teas... Just a standard 3 1/2hour train journey for Atéa....
We have started our tour a little earlier than planned and taken a detour to Dickie and Emma's country house in the Lakes. We met the lovely couple in the summer on Coll and hey very kindly offered to host us and we would do a charity concert for them.
We started this leg of getting tour with a epic opus beef stew and some lovely wine by he fire, hopefully this is a sign of things to come!
Bed time for all of us Atéa buddies now...
